Massage Treatments

Both the client and the therapist must have a clear understanding of massage therapy policies and procedures.

As a new client, you need to be informed about the Massage Therapy policies to provide informed consent before the massage session. At Space Therapy Clinic, we hold these policies and procedures to a high standard and have posted them on our website for your convenience.

Appointments

Massage appointments are available by appointment only. Our clinic operates from Monday to Saturday, 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. To ensure appointment availability, we recommend scheduling a regular series of appointments.

Cancellation Policy

We kindly request that you cancel your appointment at least 24 hours before. Please follow the cancellation instructions in the confirmation email. Alternatively, you can also reschedule. Clients who fail to show up for their scheduled appointment time cannot schedule future appointments.

Lateness Policy

We ask that you arrive 5 minutes early for your appointment to ensure a smooth and timely session.

Sickness Policy

At Space Therapy Clinic, we prioritize our massage therapists' and clients' health and well-being. If you are feeling unwell or have any contagious illnesses such as diarrhoea, vomiting, fever, chickenpox, measles, mumps, meningitis, hepatitis A, conjunctivitis, rubella, head lice, impetigo, influenza, meningococcal disease, polio, ringworm, scabies, thrush, whooping cough, or common cold, we kindly request that you reschedule your massage session.

Sanitation and Hygiene

Our massage therapy policies prioritize sanitation and hygiene. All equipment that comes in contact with clients is thoroughly cleansed using approved methods. Our beds and pillow covers are disposable and changed between each session. Before and after each massage, our massage therapists wash their hands with hot soapy water and use a disinfecting solution. Any breaks in the skin of the massage therapist are covered with protective coverings. We kindly request that clients arrive at their massage appointment in a clean state and inform the therapist of any breaks in the skin.

Scope of Practise

Therapeutic massage at Space Therapy Clinic is designed to enhance health and promote body balance and efficient function. Massage stimulates the body's natural restorative processes and helps reduce muscle tension. If any situation arises during the massage session where the therapist feels you should be evaluated by another professional, it is our intention, under our massage therapy policies, to advise you to seek professional help from a healthcare provider.

Maintenance System

Massage therapy is a maintenance system, and its benefits are cumulative. To reduce physical stress and enjoy the full benefits of therapeutic massage, we recommend receiving a one-hour massage every 1-4 weeks. Occasional appointments provide temporary symptomatic relief, but regular sessions ensure the cumulative effects of therapeutic massage are maintained.
